Results for the 1st Annual Grenn Valley Lake Aquathon.
Sunday, 16 August 2015 18:27

August 15th 2015 was a memorable date for the folks at Green Valley Lake. As this was the first year an event had been held at the lake which involved a 600 yd swim and 5km run all at 7,200 feet altitude..

An equal number of males and females so well balanced the race went smoothly.

Top 3 men over all were:

  • Steve Vasquez – 33mins 32 seconds
  • Carlos O Brien – 33 mins 41 seconds
  • Darin Miller – 33 mins and 43 seconds.

Top 3 females over all were:

  • Megan Lambert – 38 mins and 27 seconds
  • Kate Santaia – 39 mins and 34 seconds
  • Colleen Poling –  41 mins and 33 seconds.

Interesting statistic all 3 over all women did not wear a wetsuit ... all 3 over all men wore a wet suit.

The full list of results can be found on the results page.

The first person out of the Lake swim was 13 year old Kate Santaia who had never ran 5km before!
